History of Dumps World
Hi, I'm Dee.
My love for food started at 3 years old, standing beside my grandma in the kitchen — learning by doing, tasting as we went. That early apprenticeship shaped everything: an obsession with flavour, a deep respect for process, and an understanding that food is how you care for people.
Years later, that love turned into intimate supper clubs run from my apartment. Multi-course menus, considered table settings, and long nights of conversation — food as a shared experience, not just something you eat. It was my way of channelling creativity and bringing people together.
When COVID hit and doors closed, Dumps World v1 was born. If I couldn’t feed people around a table, I’d feed them another way. Frozen food became the bridge — carefully made, flavour-forward meals designed to travel well and still feel personal. (@dwdaiwen came to life.)
But a key ingredient was missing: human connection.
So Dumps World evolved again. Today, it lives as a brick-and-mortar space — a place where you can stock your freezer with genuinely good food, made with the same care as those early supper clubs.
I still have a full-time job so the focus is currently on our frozen range, including the Post Babes meals, created with new parents in mind — nourishing, comforting, and deliciously convenient.
In the evenings, the tables will return. Micro-events, and eventually supper clubs again.
Because Dumps World has always been about more than food — it’s about flavour, care, and connection.
And it always will be.
